By accessing and using this website
You agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:
Use of Content: All content on this website, including photographs and text, is the intellectual property of Laura Martinez Photography. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without explicit permission.
User Conduct: You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and not to engage in any activity that could harm the website or its users.
Privacy: Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability: Laura Martinez Photography is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this website.

1. Booking & Payment
Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking fee of 30% is required to secure your photography/video session date. This fee will be deducted from the total session cost. This covers the time spent arranging the booking, planning the session and any questions in the lead-up to the session.
Remaining Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full 5-7 days prior to the day of the session. This payment covers all photography/video, the appointment, professional editing, and any digital images as outlined in the selected photography package.
Payment Methods: Payment can be made via bank transfer. Details will be provided upon booking.
2. Rescheduling & Cancellations
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session up to 48 hours before the scheduled date without any additional charge. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the session will result in a £60 rescheduling fee.
Cancellations: If you cancel your session, the booking fee is non-refundable. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, please contact me to discuss options.
Photographer’s Right to Cancel: In case of illness, emergency, or any other unforeseen circumstance on the photographer’s part, the session will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed date, or a full refund of the booking fee will be provided.
3. Session Details / Portraits
Session Duration: Your photography session has a time slot booked. Please arrive on time to make the most of your session.
Outfit Changes: You are welcome to bring up to 2 outfits or props if needed. Please plan accordingly to allow time for these during the session.
Location: Locations will be discussed and finalised prior to the session. Travel to locations outside of London may incur additional fees, which will be discussed beforehand.
4. Image Delivery
Edited Images: You will receive an online gallery containing 30 edited images within 2 weeks of your session date.
Image Format: All images will be delivered in high-resolution JPEG format. RAW files are not provided.
Additional Images: To purchase additional edited images beyond the 30 included in your package, these will be available at an additional cost of £15 per image.
5. Client Responsibilities
Timeliness: Please ensure you arrive on time for your session. Delays caused by late arrival will result in less shooting time and may affect the number of images delivered.
Cooperation: It is your responsibility to communicate any specific requests, concerns, or ideas you may have prior to or during the session to ensure a smooth and successful shoot.
6. Usage Rights & Copyright
Photographer’s Rights: Laura Martinez Photography retains the copyright to all images produced during the session. Images may be used for marketing, portfolio, website, and social media unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
The 1998 Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act assigns copyright to Laura Martinez Photography. Laura Martinez Photography asserts her statutory rights to be identified in the circumstances as set out in Sections 77-79 of the aforementioned act and any amendments or re-enactments thereof. Laura Martinez Photography retains full copyright of all photographs at all times throughout the world. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/48/contents retains the right in all cases to use any photographs in any manner at any time, anywhere in the world, to advertise or promote her work.
Client Usage: You are granted a license for personal use of the images only. You may print and share the images on social media with proper credit to the photographer. Commercial use of the images is not permitted without written permission or a license agreement prior to the session. (In the case of ads or sale prints will have a different rate)
All images/videos used and shared online should be credited to Laura Martinez Photography or under the social media user name @laura_martinez_photography. This includes images purchased with print licenses.
7. Creative License
Laura Martinez Photography’s judgement on photographic style and the number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct. Some photographs may not be possible due to changes in weather conditions and the availability and willingness of subjects.
It is the client’s responsibility to realise that the photographer will shoot and select photographs based on their previous discussion of what was needed. Should the client wish to receive a higher quantity of photographs focusing on specific aspects, this should be made clear to the photographer prior to the day.
The photographer cannot be held responsible for any images deemed unsatisfactory if the client has directed elements of the shoot not recommended by the photographer. This includes location, outfit, final image choice, time of shoot and other variables.
The photographer will not be held responsible for any ruined photographs due to guests’ (or any other) flashes or any other causes outside of the photographer’s control.
8. Image/Video Processing
Laura Martinez Photography will have full control over which images/videos are chosen for processing and how they are processed. Examples of this style can be seen on the website. Laura Martinez Photography will provide a combination of colour and/or black and white images based on what the photographer deems is the correct balance. If the client wants something different with the same style of photography, this needs to be discussed prior to the session and with examples.
For videos, basic editing and processing will be used. Otherwise, this will be a prior discussion with clients based on needs.
Further, extensive retouching or digital manipulation is available to the client as an optional extra.
9. Privacy
Client Consent: By booking a session, you agree to allow Laura Martinez Photography to use your images/videos for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, portfolio). If you prefer your images/videos to remain private, please inform the photographer in writing before the session.
10. Liability, Insurance and Force Majeure
Photographer's Liability: The photographer is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage that may occur during the session. Clients are responsible for their own safety and belongings. Each of the parties agrees to give notice immediately to the other upon becoming aware of an event of force majeure such notice to contain details of the circumstances giving rise to it.
Laura Martinez Photography takes the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation and processing of photographs/videos; including using professional grade equipment and professional-grade backup equipment. However, in the unlikely event of the client’s photographs being lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons within or beyond the photographer’s control, the latter’s liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. The limit of liability shall not exceed the contract price stated herein. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals. Your statutory rights are not affected.
In the event that the session is postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, natural disaster), both parties agree to reschedule at the earliest convenience without penalty.
Laura Martinez Photography has full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance with Hiscox and a-n The Artist Information Company.
11. Data Protection and Privacy Policy
Laura Martinez Photography will not discuss, store or use any personal information about you other than the photographic images/videos taken during photography sessions and your contact details (name, email, telephone number & address).
Your contact details will remain on file for one year after your session. Laura Martinez Photography will not disclose any material or information communicated to her for the purposes of photography/videos to any third parties. These details will not be made available to third parties. If you would like your details to be removed before the year term, please do not hesitate to reach out on contact form
12. Agreement
By booking a photography session/video, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please review them carefully prior to your session.
13. Amendments
Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
